Restaurants
Any city worth its weight in the food arena must claim bragging rights to a specialty. Omaha can point proudly to two. First there are those legendary mouth-watering steaks, but fear not the vegetarians and vegans among us. Make your way to Block 16, offering vegan sandwiches in downtown Omaha or to Modern Love, an all vegan restaurant, for a healthful, delicious meal that will satisfy your food craving and your philosophical sentiments, although many restaurants serve delightful vegetarian and vegan meals. Oh, the other Omaha specialty is the Reuben sandwich — yes, it was invented right here in river city. There are a bunch of duplicates of the famous sandwich out there, but prepare to enjoy the original real deal, it’s worth the travel for that experience alone!
